Phillip and Amy Parham were contestants on season six of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser: Families” in 2008. During their season, they lost a combined total of 256 pounds. As a couple, they lost one of the highest percentages of weight loss of any married couple in “The Biggest Loser” history to date.

They have appeared on the “Today Show”,“700 Club”, “100 Huntley Street”, “Good Day New York”, and many more national and local television and radio shows. Phillip and Amy have been showcased in “TV Guide,” “In Touch,” “Entertainment Weekly,” “People,” and “Woman’s World.” Phillip also published an article in “Men’s Health/Best Life and Amy appeared on the cover of “First” magazine.

This is the beginning of their story. They have started a journey as a couple to promote wellness and fitness to members of the public across the country.

Currently, they are unveiling a nationwide initiative called “The 90 Day Fitness Challenge” and have a book and DVD of the same name. They have also have written a kids fitness challenge called “The Amazing Fitness Adventure For Your Kids” and Amy has written a book ”10 Lessons From A Former Fat Girl”.

Phillip and Amy have spoken to numerous corporations, conferences, churches, and local civic groups across the country on fitness and healthy lifestyles.

Their website, www.philandamyfitness.com, has thousands of people on its mailing list where they have provided an online community and resources to help people get fit.

Phillip and Amy have been happily married for 23 years, live in Simpsonville, SC, and have three wonderful sons, Austin, Pearson, and Rhett.

The Unite the Faith Band is a worship collective of The Unity Movement. That is, they use their gifts and talents as musicians in order to ignite a true wonder of God in not only themselves but also Christ’s followers that worship under their lead. At every chance, they challenge and attempt to sing with one voice, not from many. So that the world may know.

In John 17:21, Jesus prays something simple, yet very profound, which is this:

“… For those who will believe in me through their word (the disciple’s word), that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.”

This is one of the last statements intimately made before the cross between Jesus and the Father. He makes the statement three times over, making sure to get his point across. Then he says that through this UNITY, the world may know. Unite the Faith, along with Mark Lancaster, are in pursuit of this UNITY. Ben Briceno, one of the lead worshipers in the band says:

“Leading worship is one of the coolest, most honorable and humbling experiences one can do in his/her life. It is such an honor, because you are literally ushering in the praises of His people. It is so humbling, because if the world is his footstool, what is a guy with a guitar? That is why we as leaders must 1. Worship with all of our hearts. 2. Take a step back, out of the way of his Holy spirit. and 3. Wonder at the shear power of God, the God of the universe, fearing him daily. That is a literal checklist prayer I make, almost every time I lead a large body in worship.”

Jesus says that he has given us the glory that the Father has given him, that we may become one. Unite the Faith believes that this is not only possible, but probable. Jesus would have never said those words and pleaded on our behalf if he knew it to be unattainable.

Mark Lancaster often says “I accepted Christ at the age of nine, but I didnʼt really get to
know Him until I was 26.” A hug changed Markʼs life in 1999 after returning home one
day to discover his wife of four years had walked out while he was at work. Years of
drinking, drugs, and verbal abuse had taken their toll on his marriage and destroyed it. 

Mark recalls “two weeks after my wife left, I was walking around my block before work
one day…the bottom had just fallen out of my life, and I realized my life would never be
the same. I called out to God and said ʻLord, Iʼm lower than Iʼve ever been in my life, I
donʼt care about money, food, or anything else in the world, the only thing I need today
more than anything else is a hug, and thatʼs it. But I have to know for absolute,
ABSOLUTE fact that youʼre listening to me.ʼ An hour and a half later, I got to work and a
man walked up to me and said ʻMark, I came to work early this morning because God
spoke to me, and said you needed a hug.ʼ

From that point, Mark has been pursuing Christ with every fiber of his being. Mark is a
full-time Pastor on staff at GodWhy Church (Godwhy.com) in Hendersonville, TN. He
was a bi-vocational Youth Pastor for years until he shed his corporate career on Music
Row in Nashville, to become a full-time Youth Pastor in 2005. Mark is passionate about
challenging people to break outside of the comfort zones, and to become their fullest
potential, who God created them to be. He loves to raise up leaders, motivating and
inspiring them to seek the Lord with everything they are; not settling for status quo
Christianity, but seeking a vibrant relationship with the living Christ, who is capable of
making all things new in their lives.

Mark is married to wife, Angie, and they have two young children together, daughter
Bennett, and son Brando.
